HOLY CRAP. I'm seriously a happy camper.

Dead By Sunrise Concert
SERIOUSLY, I TOUCHED CHESTER'S ARM AND HE KNEELED DOWN TO SING "FIRE" TO/WITH ME. Also poked the hand of the lead singer of the Velvet Code (opening band) and got their CD signed by them after the concert. Oh yeah, the stage crew gave me one of DBS' unused water bottles after the show!! I was really standing close to the stage despite being almost at the complete back of the line at first, outside. It was easy because it's a pretty small venue. I took a lot of photos and videos and I still can't believe I was that close to him!!

And then I had just noticed someone had taken the exact moment where Chester kneeled, extended his arm and sang "Fire" to/with me: [link]
Much props to her!!! We made eye contact and it was so great! I had to stop for a moment to realize what just happened lol! XDDD; But I guess it was because I'm really short, was decked out in my LP hoodie, and was the only one who really knew the lyrics.

SVA Portfolio Review/Interview/Acceptance
So I set up an in-person portfolio reivew/interview at the school at their Open House that Saturday. Luckily my Mom came along was really impressed. Anyways, I was a bit nervous of course for the review, but I passed and was even encouraged to try for scholarship, which I didn't even consider at that point! It was kind of crazy and at first I thought I got rejected because my portfolio got critiqued right after I showed everything lol. My mistake, so then I got clarified and shared the good news.

Best part: "So, are you obsessed with Linkin Park or something? ...it's not a problem though!"

Overall though, my parents FINALLY understand and I guess accept me wanting to become an artist. They also get why I want to go to SVA a lot. It came with a lot of relief on my part.

But yes, I'm really happy. I actually can smile for once. Thanks for all who have supported me throughout the years, I hope to continue and get better at art/life as time goes on.
